As the title implies, these are the lines to my wings. I drew inspiration from multiple sources, mainly the work of Brian Froud. Pencil on a sheet of printer paper from work, and digitally inked in photoshop.
They are attached with some bio-blending to either side of my spine, and cover my shoulder blades, reaching as far as the curve of my arms and down to mid back. The work I have done now was inked by Daryl at Evolution Tattoo in Petaluma, California.
If I get around to putting up a color version, I will move this to scraps.
I love wing tattoos! I hope this can be inspiration for you, feel free to use it as a reference, but again this isn't for use. I take pride in having an original self-design for my own.
Nice job! The detail is beautiful. I am currently designing wings of my own right now, and the upper parts look almost identical! Strange-but I will be having more detail on the bottom. As ArcanuS-ArtifeX said, they look like fish fins and thats not my type of style.
...and here I was just going to comment on how the little frog-faerie made me think of Froud's work...there's that question answered! GORGEOUS, can't wait to see the color version. Now I'm pining for more ink, darn it!

Stars lay like yellow pollen
That from a flower has fallen;
And single stars I saw
Crossing themselves in awe;
Some stars in sudden fear
Fell like a falling tear.
